Hamamura, Koichi, ed (2006) (in Japanese). If you enter the room where you fight Salazar you will not see Salazar nor the Verdugo, but a cutscene will show them. However this may be because the Cultists are below the lifts. There will be Cultist calls after you ascend the two lifts, but they are nowhere to be seen.To kill Salazar quickly with it, simply shoot the mutated Verdugo tentacle in its giant exposed eye until the carapace protecting Salazar opens up, and fire the rocket at him for an instant kill. It only costs 30,000₧, so killing Salazar would still yield a profit of 20,000₧. She will offer you a ride, which leads to the end of the chapter.īecause Salazar drops 50,000₧, an easier strategy would be to buy the Rocket Launcher from the Merchant just before the boss fight. In the next room, Ada will be waiting with a boat. Then you will encounter another Merchant. Outside, climb down a rope and ride a third lift. Keep repeating this shoot-and-dodge strategy on the second floor until Salazar is dead.Īfter he is killed, loot the first floor and climb a ladder to collect the money Salazar dropped. The beast will also frequently attack with its tentacles which you can dodge with quick time events. When Salazar emerges from the beast, you can hit him with anything. Target the beast's large eye until its core opens up to reveal a mutated Salazar.
You mostly want to stay on the second floor, since the first floor hosts a group of Plagas. He and his Verdugo are then consumed by a plant to fuse together and become a powerful monster. In the next room, a cutscene will begin where Salazar reveals Ashley is being taken away to an island. Drop down to find a chest with a Gold Bangle, then continue up by riding the lift.Īt the top of this path awaits some ammo, a typewriter, and the Merchant, so use this moment to prepare for the coming fight. Right before the next lift, you will notice a "Drop Down" action. When the lift stops, continue on the wooden scaffolding around the building to find a Red Herb.
An idea here is to either use a pistol to shoot them in the face and kick them off, or use full power and use your shotgun. Many Red Cultists (some with Plagas) will jump onto the lift, and if there are more than one Cultist, the lift will halt. Once you reach the top, kill the Cultists operating the barrel dropper and more Cultists will come in from the base of the tower, either run or use the barrel dropper and they will all die. Be careful, though some of the barrels are on fire and will explode. Suggested weapons are guns with high firepower that can take out the barrels in one to two shots. Several Cultists will appear to fight you, some of which will throw dynamite down at you, and others that will drop barrels towards you. Verdugo and a now wounded Salazar will escape through a lift. Leon will throw his Knife at Salazar, but be prepared for another quick time event as the Verdugo you didn't fight will throw the knife back. Outside is a bridge which the statue will destroy when following, requiring another button press to survive the jump.Įnter the double doors to encounter a cutscene with Ramon Salazar where he reveals his plans. However, this is a trap and the statue will begin walking towards you! A quick-time event will take place in which Leon has to run to the door and dodge falling pillars.
Defeat any remaining Cultists before continuing. You will need to activate a switch on Salazar's back to get both arms moving.Īfter pulling the second lever, you'll be able to access the path forward. Climb up to the scaffolding using Salazar's movable arms, fight the cultists, and work on pulling the two levers in the room. A giant statue of Salazar will activate, and several Cultists will appear to attack. The first area is the Cathedral, a large room where parts of the flooring are lowered into the water to prevent you from crossing. The level starts with Leon returning to the Castle. After got out from the elevator, Leon must continue saving Ashley again from Salazar in the Castle.
